Friday 25 August 2023 Year 14 Induction The staff at Lurgan College were delighted to welcome back sixth form pupils for their Year 14 induction morning. During the programme Year 14 took part in some team building activities.

Friday 18 August 2023 Delight at excellent A2/AS Level results' It was with a mix of nervousness and excitement that the Lurgan College Class of 2023 awaited their A level results on Thursday morning. Given the many challenges which this year group have had to face throughout their time at school due to the Covid-19 pandemic; the change from Centre Determined Grades to Centre Assessed Grades to this year sitting external examinations alone for the first time since 2019, such tension was completely understandable. Our pupils, however, need not have worried as they achieved an excellent set of results which, once again, featured some of the very best performances by College pupils in the school’s long and illustrious 150-year history.

Thursday 30 March 2023 British Biology Olympiad: Success The British Biology Olympiad is run by the Institute of Biology, the professional body for Biology. It is a challenging experience aimed at stimulating those with an interest in Biology. This year almost 13000 top school biologists in the UK took part in the competition. This year some of our top Year 14 students rose to the challenge.

Friday 3 March 2023 Shared Education Trip Year 14 English Literature students met up with a group of Year 13 and Year 14 students from St. Ronan's College to attend the live stream of the National Theatre's production of 'Othello' at the Queen's Film Theatre in Belfast.

Monday 13 February 2023 BPW Public Speaking Success! Congratulations to our team of Bethany Blair, Luke Teggart and Eliana Hynes who finished runners up in the NI Final of the BPW Public Speaking Competition. Bethany also achieved the trophy for the Best Chairperson.

Thursday 9 February 2023 Robyn exhibits at True Colours 2023 Last years A2 Art Student, Robyn McIlwaine had her stunning work chosen for the CCEA True Colours Exhibition, at the Ulster Museum. This showcased the work of some of Northern Ireland's most talented young artists and designers. Congratulations to Robyn and to Mrs Barbour for all of her help and support.

Saturday 3 December 2022 Equestrian success! Well done to Katie Robinson, Kirsten Bailie, Catherine and Sarah Cowan who won week 6 of the 2022 TRI Schools showjumping league and finished 2nd overall. Congratulations also to Sarah Cowan who finished 3rd overall (out of almost 100 competitors) in the individual class of the TRI School Show Jumping league.

Saturday 3 December 2022 1st XI Girls Cup Win! Congratulations to our 1st XI Girls who defeated Regent House 2-1 in Round 2 of the Schools Cup. An excellent performance with goals from Clara McNeill and Sophie Wylie. Well done girls!

Wednesday 30 November 2022 2nd XV win in the Cup! Congratulations to the 2XV who, having last week defeated Grosvenor Grammar School 29-15 in the 1st round of the 2XV Cup Competition, defeated Bangor Grammar School 10-5 in the 2nd Round. Try by Kyle Watson with Tom Stevenson converting this alongside a penalty.

Tuesday 29 November 2022 Medallion XV progress in the Shield Congratulations to our Medallion XV who defeated Wellington College 29-24 in the Medallion Shield. Tries were scored by Ben Maxwell (2), Kody Watson, Andrew Bird and Alex Dillon, with Harry Kerr adding two conversions.
